Help Us With a Walk

KM1Pull on your walking boots for the 21st annual KM Charity Walk

Walkers are invited to take part in the annual KM Charity Walk to support The Green Organisation.

The annual walk – now in its 21st year – is staged by the charity department at the KM Group. This year’s big walk will be held on Sunday, June 26th 2016

Leaving from the beautiful Grade II listed mansion, Mote House, at Maidstone participants will have the choice of a gentle five-mile route, or a more challenging 10-mile route for keen ramblers.

Both are designed to be varied, interesting and fairly flat with some occasional hills. As always, the walk will take you along the pretty highways and byways of the stunning Kent countryside.KM BOATRACE 010712

The 10-mile route will talk walkers to Leeds Castle and back to the mansion. A barbecue and string quartet await all our walkers on their return to the mansion house, along with a special anniversary medal and goodie bag.

To fit in with the anniversary theme walkers are encouraged to wear yellow or gold in some shape or form and prizes will be awarded for the best outfits.

Event organiser Sophie Wallace urged people to take the challenge to support The Green Organisation.

This is a lovely gentle way to raise money for this excellent cause, which can be enjoyed with your family or with a group of friends or colleagues. The walk will give superb views of our beautiful countryside as an added perk for participants, he said.

All ages are welcome, and children under 16 even go free when you book online.

Seventy per cent of the sponsorship raised by our supporters will go to The Green Organisation while the remaining 30 per cent will go towards the childrens road safety work of the KM Charity Team
